Renting premises to run a business over here now seems to be very dangerous under the new laws, as you will be open to extortion and blackmail by a corrupt landlord.
You start a business, work very hard and your business becomes successful and established then, after five years, your landlord quite legally can put your rent up by whatever he now thinks you’re worth.
The idea being he wants you out so he can take over your successful business. He has you over a barrel, you have been warned.
