TODAY, FRIDAY (February 17) sees the opening of a trio of fairs dedicated to the hotel and catering industry at the ExpoAlgarve pavilion, located in Loulé’s industrial park. The event runs until February 20 and is open to the public from 2.30pm until 8pm daily.
Simultaneously, the venue will be hosting the fourth edition of SulEquipa, a fair showcasing the latest equipment and services for the hotel and restaurant trade, SulAlimentar/Tecnopani, a new event dedicated to food with particular emphasis on bread making and cake baking, and, finally, the second edition of Algarvini, an exhibition dedicated to wine.
As well as offering visitors the chance to keep abreast of all the latest products and services and seek out new contacts, there will also be the opportunity to see industry professionals battle it out in a series of competitions. The contests will feature Doçaria Algarve (Algarve Sweets), Pães Especias dos Velhos Tempos (Special Breads of Times Gone By) and Sobremesas Empratadas (Desserts).
If this wasn’t enough, visitors are also invited to attend a series of seminars hosted by respected industry figures. The four-day event is due to be officially inaugurated by Luís Vieira, Deputy Secretary of State for Agriculture and Fisheries.
