The Olhanense Expat Supporters Group recently presented 30 footballs to the youth section of the club.
Vice-President Manuel Teixeira spoke highly of the significant contribution that the expat group have made to the club over the past five years. He said: “More and more foreign, and particularly British fans, are visiting us and we greatly appreciate their support for all sections of the club.”
A number of British fans on holiday in the area were given a guided tour of the stadium and trophy room, but the icing on the cake was when manager Giuseppe Galderisi invited the group on to the pitch to meet the players as they prepared for their historic clash with Benfica.
