An exhibition featuring the work of Gabriel Clemente, a well-known Algarve photographer and former collaborator of the Resident who died suddenly last December from a heart attack, will be on display at Albufeira’s Galeria Pintor Samora Barros between August 20 and September 27.
Clemente was born in Leiria but spent most of his life in Germany, where he worked and had a family. His passion for photography only flourished when he decided to spend his retirement years in Olhos D’Água, Albufeira.
It was in the Algarve where he became a frequent associate of many regional newspapers and magazines, including the Resident and Entdecken Sie Algarve.
The memorial exhibition can be visited Monday to Saturday between 3pm and 8pm and 9pm and 11pm in August, and between 9.30am and 12.30pm and 1.30pm and 5.30pm in September.
