Twenty-seven nurses from the paediatric A&E unit at Faro Hospital have signed a declaration calling for them to be excused from their responsibilities due to the “huge pressure” that they face, the Nurses Union (SE) has announced.
Nearly 100 nurses from Faro Hospital and Garcia de Orta Hospital in Almada have signed the document.
The nurses warn that they do not have the “minimum conditions” needed to work due to understaffed and underequipped teams.
