Exemption request

Blood donor associations have requested that the exemption of hospital fees for those donating blood be reinstated, during a convention in Viana do Castelo on September 22. Around 70,000 blood donors, represented by 45 associations, attended the event. The exemption request was also discussed at a meeting on September 25 between the Portuguese Federation of Blood Donors and Fernando Leal da Costa, the Secretary of State Assistant to the Health Minister.
