A PSYCHOLOGY student living in Alto da Faia in Telheiras, Lisbon, is suspected of beating his 21-year-old ex-girlfriend to death, burning her and then attempting to conceal the body in a council rubbish bin on Friday last week.
The crime was discovered by André C’s latest girlfriend, a solicitor, when she unexpectedly called at her boyfriend’s home. On entering the lounge, she saw the corpse stuffed into a rubbish bin, which a neighbour claims to have seen the accused taking into his home earlier that day. The girl ran out of the house and called the police. André C, son of the secretary of the Câmara President of Vila Viçosa, was apparently discovered in his bedroom in a state of shock. The student has been placed in custody awaiting trial.
