“This is a Christmas market with a difference” and it is taking place at the Conrad Hotel in Quinta do Lago on December 7 from 10am. Organisers ACCA children’s charity is hoping to bring visitors “everything but the snow”.
“Full of festive cheer and twinkling fairy lights, there will be stalls offering fine craft products, luxury gift items, delicious food with plenty of fun, laughter and a hearty ho-ho-ho from a visiting Santa,” it reveals.
Other activities include games for the children and carol singing. For the adults, there will be glühwein and roasted sausages, and a “fabulous” selection of Christmas goodies.
In the afternoon, starting at 4pm, the doors to the Conrad ballroom will be opened and guests will be invited to see a special exhibition of artwork by 70 youngsters from the homes of the underprivileged that ACCA supports.
The event is organised in conjunction with Artcatto art gallery in Loulé with monies raised from the sale of artwork (prices will start at €10) going to ACCA’s worthy causes.
Stalls will line the drive-in to the Conrad entrance and also feature in the main foyer. Stallholders are still being sought, say organisers, with stall prices starting at €50.
