Love can hit you anywhere. Any place. Any time. You could even fall hopelessly in love with a total stranger on a bus.
With this in mind, a group of three young men from Braga have created two increasingly-popular Facebook pages – on the basis that, if you can fall in love on a bus, maybe you could be smitten on the train, too. Called ‘Vi-te no Autocarro’ (I Saw You on the Bus) and ‘Vi-te no Comboio’ (I Saw You on the Train), the two pages have taken off, gathering nearly 40,000 likes in record-breaking time, and having already published over 100 stories.
The idea is to match people up who have fallen in love without ever being introduced…
Daniel, 24, Tiago, 17, and Pedro, 20, have all had similar experiences, we hear, and took their inspiration from an American website called ‘I Saw You’.
They now have 20-year-old Ana to help them with their sites, in case anyone thinks the boys are just interested in meeting girls…
The way it works is if someone thinks they may be the person mentioned in one of the stories, they can contact the administrators who will do their best to match both parties up.
Speaking to P3, a website owned by Público newspaper, Daniel said the new pages show that people, even on a bus or a train – where they are supposedly not doing anything special – can actually make a huge change in their own and even someone else’s lives.
