An open meeting and talk on ‘Garden Design’ by Algarve Resident gardening contributor Marilyn Medina Ribeiro is taking place on Saturday, September 28 at the Sheraton Pine Cliffs Hotel in Albufeira, to mark the first event by the Mediterranean Garden Society for the new garden year.
The event will be held at the hotel’s São Rafael Room from 10.30am. A contribution of €5 per person for the talk and coffee will be requested. There will also be a selection of second-hand books and journals available, and MGS seeds for distribution.
Meanwhile, the Mediterranean Garden Fair is taking place on Saturday, October 26, from 11am to 5pm, this time at the squares of the Estoi town, thanks to the support of the local parish council.
Organisers said: “Keep the date free and join us to collect your bulb order or browse the plants on offer. We will hold our Plant Clinic manned by local MGS members. The theme this year is Low Maintenance Mediterranean Gardens and we are concentrating on having a wide range of plants available for you to buy.”
