Portugal’s Eurovision sensation Salvador Sobral has been forced to cancel three upcoming concerts due to his ongoing heart condition.
Writing over Facebook, the 32-year-old star says he has been advised to take it easy for the next few days.
He will be returning in time for Cascais’ International Festival of Culture on September 8.
The cancelled shows include two scheduled for Faro’s Festival F on Thursday and Friday, and another on Saturday in Anandia.
Sobral’s precarious state of health has been alluded to since his historic win for Portugal in Kiev last May, with news outlets suggesting he desperately needs a heart transplant.
Indeed a number of sources claim he has told friends that he will die if he doesn’t get one.
