Renovation of the outdoor spaces, interiors and surroundings of the Eurotel Altura, close to the beach of Altura in the municipality of Castro Marim, has been completed.
The work, representing an investment of around €7 million, started in 2010.
All outdoor areas – swimming pool, gardens, lake, tennis court, mini golf, playground, petanque and outdoor lounge – were redesigned and rebuilt from scratch, allowing “a better use of space, in total harmony with the landscape”, said a spokesman for the Eurotel Group.
Interior work was focused on the common areas such as reception, lobby, bar, restaurant and library but the rooms were also renovated and redecorated.
The hotel has 135 rooms, comprising 18 suites, 54 family rooms and 63 standard rooms.
The works also included the construction of a modern spa and wellness centre equipped with hydrotherapy pool, relaxation areas, three rooms for treatments, a fully equipped gym, a personal trainer available for guests, among others.
