EUROPE AT THE MASTERS

published by the BBC

IN 2006, the BBC will celebrate 20 years of Masters coverage, and has been awarded the longest television contract and commitment ever given by the Masters committee. Their involvement with the Masters has coincided with the greatest run of success that European golf has ever enjoyed at a Major event. This success has been coupled with extraordinary stories of golfing endeavour and it is these stories, plus much more, that is celebrated in this book.

The book is written with the close co-operation of Seve Ballesteros. Seve achieved the breakthrough for European golf when he became the youngest player to win at Augusta in 1980 and here tells of his epic battle with Jack Nicklaus in 1986, and the fateful shot at the 15th  that finished his challenge but also, he feels, ended his reign as one of the greatest players in the world.

This book celebrates the successes and extraordinary stories of golfing endeavours and is illustrated with stunning colour photographs of the players in their moments of triumph. In hardback at 29.50 euros.
