Placing a bet for the Euromillions lottery is going to become more expensive as it is now associated to another new lottery game – Totosorteio.
Whereas before you could place a €2 bet, from September the minimum will be €2.50.
This is because not only has the minimum bet increased from €2 to €2.20, but betters will have to pay an extra €0.30 to be enrolled in the Totosorteio draw.
The two lotto games are now linked together, meaning if you bet on one, you have to bet on the other – thus no one can expect to pay less than €2.50.
This new lottery game will hand out “a guaranteed prize of €1 million”, a statement from the Council of Ministers explains.
