The CEO of special charter airline euroAtlantic has mooted the possibility of being open to discuss route-sharing with TAP.
TAP, the national airline, is facing a ground up restructuring plan which will force it to slash 25% of its routes.
Markets where the two airlines could cooperate are Africa, Central and South America and the Middle East.
Eugénio Fernandes, CEO of euroAtlantic Airways, says that the company he runs is open to cooperating.
“In principle, I am all for models of cooperation between airline companies that involve the combined offer of airline services provision with obvious gains in efficiency and diversity of products and services made available to passengers,” he said.
