Euro MP Nuno Melo will be announcing his bid for leadership of the CDS-PP party on Saturday (3pm) in Palácio da Bolsa, in Porto. Mr Melo’s disquiet over the degradation of his party under current leader Francisco Rodrigues dos Santos, 33, has been apparent for some time. CDS-PP’s dismal results in the recent municipal elections appear to have served as ‘the tipping point’.
