Portugal were less than fortunate at last Friday’s European Championship draw in the Ukraine.
Cristiano Ronaldo, Nani and company will have to be at their very best to advance from Group B featuring tournament co-favourites Germany, beaten World Cup finalists Holland and old foes Denmark.
The matches will all be played at 7.45pm on June 9, 13 and 17.
In contrast, England should be more than happy with their initial Group D opposition made up by aging France, Sweden and co-hosts the Ukraine while Ireland will struggle to escape from Group C featuring Spain, Italy and Croatia.
