Eupheus International Pre-Preparatory and Preparatory school for children aged 3 to 11-years old is a purpose built state-of-the-art school, situated to the south of Loulé, located a short distance from junction 12 of the A22 motorway.
It is the only Apple Distinguished School in Portugal, a centre of leadership and educational excellence that demonstrates Apple’s vision for learning with technology and is one of the most innovative schools in the world. Each child has an individual Eupheus iPad as their own learning portal.
The school educators are fully British qualified, highly experienced class teachers with a vision for 21st century teaching and learning. They are led by Head of School, Ms Penelope Best, who has 18 years of headship experience in the Algarve. Class sizes are deliberatively kept small in number, allowing for an individual approach to learning for each child. The British curriculum is taught and expanded upon with lessons taking place within the classrooms as well as utilising the specially created outdoor learning areas. Another unique feature of the school is that all of the teachers are Forest School trained. They are guided by a fully qualified Forest School practitioner nurturing learner led exploration and discovery, and meaningful experiences for positive lifelong impact.
Eupheus children have specialist teachers for vibrant innovative Music and Physical Education lessons. They also offer an exciting bespoke afterschool enrichment programme, Eupheus Quest, which allows children the opportunity to discover talents, develop new skills and embrace challenges.
