People from several corners of the world will be arriving in Monte Gordo near Vila Real de Santo António for an ethnic art fair taking place next Thursday (August 18) to the following Sunday (August 21).
Entitled ‘Etniarte’, the event promises craftspeople from Brazil, Spain, Italy, Tunisia, Morocco and Algeria selling handicrafts and other traditional goods from their countries.
They will be backed by a number of international music acts, with concerts taking place every night at 10pm.
First up is Portuguese Fado singer Argentina (Thursday), followed by British-born Daniel Kemish (Friday), the Spanish/Brazilian Marta Santamaria Quartet (Saturday) and finally Angola’s Zé Manel Martins Trio.
The fair, organised by VRSA council and Ibérica – Eventos e Espectáculos, opens from 5pm to midnight.
Admission is free.
