Rotary Club of Estoi Palace International (RCEPI) is supporting the Rotary Youth Exchange scheme and is seeking suitable students in the Algarve during 2010 and onwards.
For more than 60 years, the worldwide Rotary International organisation has supported the Youth Exchange scheme whereby students, generally aged between 15 and 19, are given the opportunity to spend up to a year abroad while continuing their education.
They will be accommodated by a Rotary sponsored host family and will have the chance to learn about local life
and culture.
In return, a student from the exchange country is placed with a Rotary-sponsored host family in the Algarve.
The exchange period usually coincides with the school year and students in the Algarve from the first grade of high school and above will be invited to apply for a study year abroad.
Students can have an international and /or local background.
The application procedure will include interviewing the prospective applicant and their families.
