The 19 year-old central defender, who joined Sporting nine years ago when his parents moved to the Algarve to work at Euro 2004, has been on loan at Everton for the past 18 months. “I continue to be a Sporting player at this point, but still do not know what the club plans for me. I will return for pre-season and then see what happens,” said the affable young man who speaks fluent Portuguese and is an England Under 19 international. It is very likely that he will gain further experience in the reserve team that will now compete in the Liga D’Honra.
