A series of workshops focusing on wine, pastry-making, cookery and cocktails, entitled ‘Epic Winter Sessions’, is ongoing at Epic Sana Algarve Hotel in Albufeira until February 28.
The idea is to teach people techniques “that will allow them to surprise friends and family”, while keeping things moving and dynamic in the tourist sector during the sleepy season.
Renowned chef Luís Mourão will be hosting the cookery workshops, showing participants how to make risottos, prepare delicious sushi – and for those with a taste for Spanish cuisine, he has handy recipes for quick and easy tasty tapas.
There will also be an insight on how to choose the best wines for meals. The hotel’s wine manager hopes to fashion ‘connoisseurs’ in his workshops!
And for those with a taste for the frivolous and flamboyant, there are pastry-making and cocktail workshops promising secrets for irresistible delights like Tiramisu or Twix chocolate, as well as tricks for preparing some of the most delicious cocktails.
