Albufeira’s five-star resort Epic Sana Algarve will be celebrating its seventh anniversary with another Epic Sana Beach Run to take place on Sunday, March 22 at 10.30am.
The event aims to provide participants with the opportunity to soak in the coastal scenery of Albufeira, particularly the Falésia and Rocha Baixinha beaches, while keeping active and helping to raise money for charity.
Part of the event’s proceeds will go to the Champalimaud Foundation and its new centre for the research and treatment of pancreatic cancer as well as the Albufeira Voluntary Firefighters.
Participants can choose to either run (10km) or walk (5km).
There will be big prizes to vie for, such as a one-night stay at the resort for two people (with breakfast included) for the winner, a one-month free pass to the Sayanna Wellness gym and a dinner for two at the Abyad restaurant.
Food trucks will be set up at the finishing line so that participants can restore energy levels.
Registration costs €8 for the race and €6 for the walk until March 21 and €17 and €12, respectively, on the morning of the event.
