Environment minister Duarte Cordeiro has not travelled with Portugal’s prime minister to COP27 in Egypt because he has tested positive for Covid-19. As the nation’s media points out there is no rule any longer requiring people to ‘self isolate’ if/ when infected. But Mr Cordeiro has decided to “work from home” and fly to Egypt to represent Portugal towards the end of the event. COP27 runs until November 18.
