Environment awareness

NATIONAL NATURE conservation association, Quercus and car manufacturer, Toyota, are getting together for a joint initiative to raise awareness of environmental problems.

The campaign got underway last Sunday April 22 (World Earth Day) and will continue until June 5, (World Environment Day) covering all 18 districts of Portugal.

A campaign team will be travelling around the country in a hybrid Toyota car which has two engines, one petrol and one electric – a revolutionary operating system which lowers the fuel consumption and reduces emissions of polutive gases.
