Entrepreneur André Jordan receives international WOCA award

André Jordan, often described as the ‘Father of Algarve tourism’, has been awarded with the World Company Award 2017 (WOCA) during the Brazil-Portugal Economic Forum which took place in Lisbon from June 21 to 25.

The accolade aims to congratulate Jordan for his “vast activity in the real estate and tourism sectors, namely his high quality projects like Quinta do Lago, Vilamoura XXI and Belas Clube de Campo”.

Jordan said: “I’m proud to see that international organisations linked to the business world are recognising my work and considering it worthy of public acknowledgement.

“This prize is special because there is a very close bond between these two countries (Portugal and Brazil) that we plan to continue reinforcing.”

This is not the first time Jordan, aged 83, is awarded on an international level.

Three years ago he was presented with a World Travel Leaders Award at the World Travel Market in London, which “congratulates and recognises companies and individuals who have made significant contributions to travel and tourism in their region or sector”.
