Picnic in the Park will be taking place this year on Friday, September 1, at the Sítio das Fontes in Estômbar, Lagoa. As in previous years, all are welcome and the five euro entry charge will go toward helping the Silves-based charity Castelo dos Sonhos in its work with those less fortunate than yourselves.
Picnickers can arrive at any time from 5pm and, after parking in the large car park, make their way to the picnic area, where fixed tables are available, and several barbecues will be alight and available for use. Numerous alternative areas are available in which to erect your own table and chairs, and this is an ideal beauty spot for people of all ages to enjoy.
The Sítio das Fontes has a small amphitheatre in which performers can entertain and it is hoped that anyone with an inclination to do so will come along and display their talents. Artists from previous years have already offered to join in the fun, so why not come along and be one of them? A raffle will be held with excellent prizes but offers of more prizes will be most welcome.
