MORE ENGLISH lessons are to be introduced in Portuguese classrooms, the Minister for Education, Maria de Lurdes Rodrigues, has announced.
Children in the third and fourth years of Portuguese schools will now be taught for 135 minutes a week, younger children will be taught for 90 minutes a week.
This comes as part of an education programme designed to increase the support and study of English, Music and Physical Education, especially for younger children.
