England Under 20s come to the Algarve

ENGLAND’S NATIONAL Under 20s Rugby Union team is due to arrive in the Algarve on Sunday for a five-day training camp at Browns Sports and Leisure Club, in Vilamoura.

The side will be preparing for the 2008 Under 20s competitions, the RBS 6 Nations and the IRB Junior World Championship in Wales in June.

As part of their stay, they are due to host an open event on December 13, offering young people the opportunity to play alongside the Under 20s. Young players aged between 16 and 18 will be given guidance and receive tips to improve their game from the national side’s coaches and some of the players.

A similar event took place last year when Browns hosted the Irish Rugby Union team, which was a great success.

So far this year, the Ireland and England rugby union national sides have held training camps at Browns as well as the Portugal National Team and the Wallabies. All the visits were successful and helped to raise the profile of rugby in the Algarve.
