End of moratorium on bank loans – MPs back urgent meeting with governor of central bank

Real concern over how families will cope if the moratorium on bank loans and credits comes to an end (as scheduled) on March 31 has seen MPs unanimously vote in favour of a Bloco de Esquerda proposal to call the governor of the Bank of Portugal to parliament for an ‘urgent meeting’. No date for the hearing has yet been set, but it will need to take place before March 31.
