EN125: Seven injured in two separate accidents

Seven people were hurt – five requiring hospital treatment – in two separate accidents on the Algarve’s EN125 road on Monday (July 18).

The first involved three cars in the busy Patacão area outside Faro. Police are investigating and only one person was injured.

Later in the day, three further vehicles were involved in a collision in Sítio da Caiana, Tavira.

Six people – including a two-year-old child – were injured, with five requiring treatment in hospital.

The number of accidents on the road that has become notorious for its disasters is increasing as holidaymakers arrive in force.

Last week, a man died and another was injured in a head-on collision on the EN270 road in Tavira (click here)
