I hope your readers are not fooled by Estradas de Portugal’s announcement concerning the EN125 roadworks.
I highly doubt that this “reshuffle” will include all the improvements they had planned when the roadworks were first announced.
There are stretches of the EN125 that are in deep need of improvements and were not even mentioned in this new deal, like in Odeáxere and between Albufeira and Guia.
It’s absurd to have roads in these conditions in a first-world country (they remind me of Moroccan roads!) – even more so when the A22 is tolled!
Unfortunately, it seems that cost-saving tactics are more important than the security of the Algarve’s residents and tourists…
