Olhanense will hope to be on song next season with the acquisition of the highly rated central-midfield player Elvis Macedo Babanco from Liga d’Honor side Arouca. The Cape Verde international, 26, has signed a two year contract.
Olhanense President Isidoro Sousa is currently in discussions with FC Porto, Sporting Lisbon and SC Braga regarding the possibility of extending the loan of André Pinto, Wilson Eduardo and Fernando Alexandre.
FC Porto have already agreed to loan back goalkeeper Fabiano Freitas who was recently transferred for €1.2 million.
More good news is that midfielder Nuno Piloto has signed a 12 month extension to his contract. Piloto was seriously injured in November last year but is now fully fit and could be an influential member of Sérgio Conceição’s squad.
Farense’s Pedro Eugénio, 21, could soon be making the short journey down the coast. Eugénio was outstanding as Farense gained promotion last season.
Olhanense socio-members are reminded that they have until the end of June to renew their seats. Payment upfront of a year’s membership and admission will attract a 10% reduction.
