A young fisherman died this week after being electrocuted in a fishing boat while participating in a religious celebration in Funchal, Madeira Island, according to the local maritime authorities. It is not explained how the young man was electrocuted. Unsuccessful attempts to revive him were carried out but the fisherman, aged 22, was declared dead on the spot.
