THE MONTHLY electricity bill in Portugal will rise by 1.09 euros per month from January 1, 2008.
On October 15, the Entidade Reguladora do Sector Energético (ERSE), the regulating body for the energy sector, released their tariff proposal for the coming year.
An average rise of 2.9 per cent was suggested for the cost of electricity in mainland Portugal, which is below last year’s 15.7 per cent rise in prices.
