Elderly expatriate still awaiting justice

EIGHTY-THREE-year-old Britisher, Dr. Vickers, who was assaulted by hunters at gunpoint in countryside near his Loulé home, nearly two-and-a-half-years ago, (see The Resident April 14) was expecting the criminal case to be heard in court on May 4.

However, due to the fact that one of the defendants was ill on the day of the hearing, the trial had to be postponed. The Resident will update readers as soon as a new trial date is announced.
