The Egyptian authorities have suspended all hot air balloon flights and launched an investigation after 19 tourists perished in a crash.
The disaster was caused when a landing rope got caught around a helium gas cylinder which explodedand set the balloon on fire.
It plunged 300 metres to the ground in a field west of the city of Luxor and some of the passengers died after jumping from the stricken craft while it was still at high altitude.
The pilot and one passenger managed to survive by jumpingout of the basket.
The passengers were from various origins including Hong Kong, Japan, Britain and Hungary.
