EDP Renováveis (Renewables) and Google have announced an agreement for more than 80 distributed solar power projects in the US, the largest of its kind in the country, according to both companies, with benefits for around 25,000 vulnerable households. According to their joint statement, the contract provides benefits for about 25,000 low-income families and allows the development of electricity in renewable energy communities in six US states, with the first projects to start in Ohio scheduled to be operational by the end of 2024.
