Albufeira’s Eden Resort has reopened after undergoing a €3 million revamp during the time it was closed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The revamp included renovations to the resort’s reception, restaurants and bars as well as the construction of a new water park, entitled AquaFun Park.
The 300sqm water park is exclusive to guests and features two pools – one for toddlers and the other for children and youngsters – as well as a SplashPark, which includes a Pirate Boat, water cannons, surf simulators and a water slide.
“This investment has resulted in several improvements to the resort’s common areas, making them more modern and more comfortable for our guests,” said Eden Resort’s general manager Daniel Gama, adding that the water park was designed to provide “fun family moments”.
“Despite the period of mandatory confinement and the challenges it brought, we were able to complete the works in time to welcome families looking for a safe place to spend their holiday,” Gama said.
