Portugal’s opposition Socialist (PS) leader António José Seguro has warned that Europe could be responsible for a potential world recession.
During the second progressive parliamentary leaders’ conference held at the end of April in Rome, António José Seguro said the risk of Europe’s crisis leading to a global economic recession was high unless it took urgent measures to foment economic growth and employment.
Abolishing tax havens and creating a new financial transactions tax were some of the “tonics for the economy” put forward by the PS leader.
