Eccentric Conan Osíris wins national song contest held in Portimão

Conan Osíris (real name Tiago Miranda, 30) was the uncontested winner of the final of RTP’s ‘Festival da Canção’, the competition that decides which artist and song will represent Portugal at the Eurovision Song Contest.

The final was held at the Portimão Arena on Saturday (March 2) in front of an audience of around 2,200 people.

Conan Osíris’ song ‘Telemóveis’ (Mobile phones) is already among the favourites to win the Eurovision contest.
