Eating out in Portugal

Dear Editor,

I’m not a well-off tourist in the Algarve. However, I have to say that I don’t find eating out in Portugal is expensive. Well, it of course depends where you go. But there are some delightful restaurants in the region, some tucked away in alleys (!) that offer some of the best food I have ever tasted here (I am a regular visitor)! When I compare the price and quality of restaurant meals here to some of the places I have eaten in in Spain for example, you can’t even begin to compare. I know there are exceptions, but the restaurants there could learn a lot from their Portuguese counterparts…
