easyjet expands Gatwick services

Low cost airline, easyjet has announced a major expansion of routes to and from Gatwick. These include three services a day to Glasgow, starting on October 2.

The airline also plans to increase flights to Milan and Amsterdam to five a day, with additional services to Madrid, Cologne, Athens and Berlin. Flights to Marrakech start next month. The new flights are a further boost to the airport, which has seen several new services open in the last 12 months – in particular British Airways has launched nine new routes from Gatwick, to destinations as diverse as Reykjavik, Tirana and Riga.
