A Slovakian man described by newspapers as “an Eastern European mafioso on the run from justice for the last 12 years” got an unwelcome surprise when he landed in Lisbon airport on a flight from Brazil, en-route for Vienna.
SEF inspectors monitoring passengers put two-and-two together and arrested him as he was boarding his connecting flight.
The man was identified as the head of a human trafficking ring.
