The looming Easter weekend promises temperatures higher than normal for this time of year, even though the evenings/ nights will still be relatively chilly. According to IPMA meteorological institute temperatures could reach 30ºC in parts of the Alentejo. There is no hint of rain on the way, which bodes very badly for the south of the country where dam capacity is still well below levels needed to face summertime demands.
