Two groups of Algarve Senior Biker members from Porches and São Brás de Alportel met simultaneously last week for lunch at the João de Deus restaurant in SB Messines.
Led by Mike Sanders from the east and David Shirley from the west, both groups were able to view much of the Algarve’s natural scenery before heading south to meet for lunch.
Organiser David Shirley said: “During lunch, a collection was made for the Donkey Sanctuary in Lagoa, the favourite animal rescue charity of the late Jon Vine who sadly died recently.
“Jon was a great animal lover with a great sense of humour and a regular participant in ASB rides on his big blue Honda Goldwing.”
As a tribute to Jon, the charity will receive €100 that was donated by the 31 group members over the lunch.
