A short film to promote the Algarve region to the domestic market will feature popular Portuguese TV presenter Sílvia Alberto.
Cameras rolled in the region last weekend for the film that aims to “convince the Portuguese, in just one minute, to visit the country’s largest tourist destination”.
The promotional film is part of a project developed by RTP television and Turismo de Portugal.
In the film, Sílvia Alberto will be introducing the Portuguese to the east Algarve, with footage of Tavira’s delightful rooftops, the quaint fishing villages of Santa Luzia and Cacela Velha, the unusual anchors graveyard at Barril beach and the Pedras d’el Rei tourist complex.
The film will be shown in prime time on RTP television during the months of June and July and is part of a nationwide project inviting the Portuguese to holiday in the country.
