Earthquakes in Azores ‘on same line’ as quakes in Turkey/ Syria

News today in Portugal is that there have been two small earthquakes affecting different islands in the Azores – one measuring  2 on the Richter scale, the other 4.1. Both quakes have been along the East Azores fracture zone. Travelling east, on the same line, there has been another much larger earthquake, this time measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale, on the Turkey/ Syrian border causing more deaths and further collapses of already vulnerable buildings.
