An earth tremor registering 3.8 on the Richter Scale was felt by residents in the Aljezur and Monchique areas of the Algarve, but no injuries or damage to property were registered. It happened at around 6pm on Saturday and the epicentre was eight kilometres north east of Aljezur at a depth of 23 kilometres.
