A musical performance inspired by the work of Portuguese playwright Gil Vicente will take place at Vila do Bispo’s Chapel of Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe on Friday (August 14), at 5pm.
The group is named Ensemble Vicente and features Nuno Meireles (actor), Manuela Lopes (soprano) and Hugo Sanchez (vihuela, an Iberian guitar-shaped instrument).
The performance is part of the ‘Sons Antigos do Sul’ festival, organised by Lagos Music Academy to celebrate and highlight early music.
